Hi, My sister is a 30 year old woman and she abuses us verbally and sometimes she hits specially she's abusive towards my mother. She calls her names like: Your Ugly, I've never loved, your making my life miserable. She even breaks things. She broke the television two years ago and the other day she broke her own cellphone. And every evening she won't let my mother sleep. She thinks my mother is sabotaging her chance to meet someone. And every word someone speaks she thinks is about her. And sometimes she calls me and my brother names and throws things at us. We're not sleeping at all. Do you think she's insane or she's just doing this to ruin our lives. I need advise. I need help. Maybe psychiatric advise.

hello,
I guess your sister is suffering from emotional stress due to self pity because at her age she couldn't find a man to marry. Maybe introducing her to men would help her cope the years she had lost. If this idea will not work then call a psychiatrist and have her checked.

I think you better seek the help of a psychiatrist. and get his advise.I couldn't tell that she has some psychic problem or something.But a doctor can detect it.So please try to move on that way.
*siblings are "forced" friends,but friends are the chosen siblings*

I'm sorry you are dealing with this kind of problem. What I can say is that you have to be patient, talk to her and consult a medical professional such as a psychiatrist.

Pammy84, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. And while I’m no expert in these matters, it seems like your sister does need psychiatric help. If I were you I’d urge her to get help – and if she won’t, contact the police if she continues to threaten you or your mom. I’m not familiar with resources for these kinds of situations, but you could reach out to the National Center on Elder Abuse for referrals and more information ( here’s their website).
