I have a 18 yr daugther who I will be buying a laptop for her. I want to block all dating websites which I can think of & I have told her already about it. How else can I use these kinds of software to limit her use on this new laptop beside creating a Win XP limited guest user account? Any help appreciated.

Hi. You should try Application Blocker Pro if you want to block your daughter's access to specific websites. On the other hand, if i were your daughter i would feel disappointed that my own mother does not trust me in this situations. She is 18 years old.

Please don't be insulted but at 18 your daughter is basically not a minor and on her way toward being a young adult. Protecting her from sites now is a bit late.
What might be a better recommendation is to open communication with her about your concerns. Talk about different sites and places online you are concerned about. Build trust so that she will come to you with any issues regarding online activities that make her feel uncomfortable and threatened. If she goes off to college she will be out of your home and able to get online any where. Education is your best defense. There are many sites to help you and her. Start with this forum and the original site www.netfamilynews.org.
