The website is designed especially for pre-teen and teen girls.
Kids can communicate and express their ideas safely, through code-protected chat areas, and through monitored notes, public boards, personal websites and galleries. This way kids cannot post any personal information or use bad language on the site (GirlSense is completely COPPA compliant, and follows the FCC guidelines for children's Internet sites and privacy).

The bottom line is that the environment is very interactive and friendly for girls :-D

GirlSense's terms of use (clicked to at the very bottom left-hand corner of this social site's home page) seem to say it's for people 13+ (just a ref to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, no clear age statement that I can see). It's hard to tell quickly how moderated its open communications area are - would the person promoting GirlSense here like to tell us? It'd be great to hear from any active user of the site too.

This is looking like a lot like an ad (see forum rules). I hope you're not affiliated with the service. Best,
