Did anybody see the report from the internet task force. http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/pubrelease/isttf/ I find that this report gives parents a false sense of security with the many dangers on the internet

I think the minimum we can take away from this report is that we, as parents, need to be involved in our children's online activities. They are exposed to the same dangers and pressures we all faced as teens related to sex, drugs and alcohol... these days we have to add Internet safety into the mix.

Welcome Mehaul, See this post for more about the report, including links to analyses from ConnectSafely co-directors Anne Collier and Larry Magid (who are also Task Force members).

Why do you think it gives parents a false sense of security?

Thanks for the post,

Maureen
