After reading through several of the posts in here, I thought it would be good to post some of the discussions that myself and several others have posted into my group on IMVU. Red flags continue to be raised amongst the responsible adults on IMVU and I'd just like to share some of the posts. I've kept out the names of the people on the posts, but let them know that I have shared this thread posted on our site.

Posted 12-7-07 "This is a complaint I made to imvu while flagging the page of a child of 14 that had an access pass. This child visited an adult locked page today and made a rude comment. This is the very reason that IMVU should not allow children under the age of 18 on this site. There should be a seperate chat thru imvu for children to join. This is a 14 yr old with an access pass that can access any locked page that us adults have. This is what is caused by an adult chat site allowing under aged kids to join and participate. They get ahold of their parents cards and purchase passes that only your adult clients should have. IMVU has punished its adult clients that spend the money on this site to make is a success because of children that shouldnt even be allowed to join. If IMVU needs to have children then it should be a seperate site altogether. Because as we see you are not doing a good job at policing the ages of your ap purchases."

I know of a certain pI know a guy that has a 13 yr old girl on his list if that means anything! He used and abused me here so I'm worried what might happen to this girl! He pretended he cared for me till he got what he wanted! He's 62 but I reckon I became too old for him as he punched me around here a lot, then deleted me while I was in the hospital! He only has young ones one his list! Oldest one might be 53 but she's left hime several times and he's always talked her back! Needless to say, I have found others that want to chat with both *** and ****! lol We just need those kids gone before more is said and done

I dont think IMVU should not let kids on this site. Because im 13 but I act way older than I am. But I think we should have separate websites for kids and adults but still let kids chat with adults on their buddy list. But what about when minors become adults? Do they just get transferred to the adult site?

So, as you can see there are very young children using IMVU that want to hang out with the adults. Unfortunately, this one slipped through our 18+ radar on the group and was immediately removed. I am just very frightened for the ones out there who are mingling with adults and possibly learning about things they have no business knowing about. On another thread that was posted we were warned about a 9 year old child who is using IMVU as well.The post is as follows: "If anyone runs into [deleted screenname in case a child's privacy is protected] she is a child of 9 yrs old, her page reads 20....not sure why she told me and I have reported her...Hugs ****" I have no idea why a 9 year old would be using IMVU. All I know is that it frightens me to think about the things this girl is learning and being exposed to. I just wanted to share these threads with you so you can see that it is VERY REAL! It's happening all around us and children are being exposed to things they do not have any business seeing. ~Flip
