how do predator find you if you dont even post your name or school were you go to? how do they get in contact with you?

They look for three types of kids:
1) The Loner: Lonely children who cannot manage friendships in their everyday turn to the Internet where there are more-than-willing pedophiles who will seemingly step up to the role.
2) The Problem Child: Behind the screen may be a pedophile, but to a problem child in need of comfort, they are a well-intentioned friend, offering an ear and a shoulder. The intention of the pedophile is to exacerbate the family divide by allowing the child to indulge in complaints about (often) their parents.
3) The Internet Incompetent: Pedophiles find the inexperienced kids online inviting – an opportunity. Get you and your child Internet proficient. Computer savvy and informed children are harder to fool.

Good question, Kairi. Research shows that the young people most vulnerable to predation online are those who talk about sex with strangers in a lot of different places on the Web (via phones or computers), especially chatrooms. If teens simply ignore and delete comments or messages from creepy or overly nice people they've never met in real life and don't put their full names, addresses or phone numbers in profiles or other places on the Web, they really can't be harmed. Here's a profile of a typical teen victim from the director of the Crimes Against Children Research Center at the U. of New Hampshire. Hope that helps,
