hi, i was surfing through the net trying to get some advice on a pretty serious abuse situation on bebo! and i stumbled across this website hoping desperately that u can help me! Someone has made a fake account pretending to be me! this person has gone to the extent of using my whole (real) name, has posted my personal details, has stolen a whole album of pictures of me and continues to do so. With this fake page they are abusing my family and friends and even random people making me look like a fool ( politely said) this person is painting an awful picture of me, making me out to be someone im not and its really stressing me out and is causing alot of drama for not only myself but for my family and friends also! the trouble is, ive already reported abuse on this person many many times and bebo has actually deleted this fake person's page TWICE! but they keep making up a new one with a new account! so it never ends! ive tried everything, tried ignoring it for a whole month! but its just getting even more serious to the point where i have random people coming up to me in person thinking im that "fake person" thats been causing trouble with them! so can you please give me any advice and help me in this matter! anything that can stop this person from making another fake page of me! i would truly appreciate it so much! its pretty serious where i actually fear what will happen next! and have stayed offline for that reason!

id really appreciate any advice from anyone! that's the worst part i feel so helpless like i cant do anything about it! most times id be fine to ignore it but this is involving alot of people dear to me and has gone beyond jus the net online.. its causing drama's in real life! that's the part that scares me most! its surprisingly a small world on bebo, and im not the drama type at all! or the mean abusive type! and my family and friends know that! but this person has taken it upon themselves to make sure this drama occurs! i feel so bad coz this "hater" is abusing my loved ones aswell! which is why im taking this abuse to heart! is there anyway this person can be blocked from bebo altogether through their i.p address?? but if anything comes to mind please let me kno! coz i dont think this will stop any time soon!  thanks for ur time maureen |

Welcome diva27, I'm so sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately it's not uncommon for imposters to create fake profiles over and over, and there's not much the social networking sites can do about them. Keep reporting the profiles, and think about contacting a lawyer (or the police) about getting a restraining order (though unless the person is threatening physical harm, there's not a lot the police can - or will - do).
Does anyone else have any advice for diva27? I'd like to hear from someone who tried to get (or got) a restraining order because of ongoing harassment like this.
