Facebook abuse

Was berated by a user who accused me of "stealing" her friends. Several years ago, we were members of the same fan club organization and had mutual friends. This person added me, then abruptly dropped me. I figured out that she didn't remember me until after I told her who I was. So she adds me AGAIN... We even chatted on Facebook a couple of times.. Yesterday, after returning home from a doctor's appointment, I checked my messages, I got one from a Holly, who laid into me for asking how to uee a Facebook aplication. I don't know WHY she thought I was being sarcastic for not knowing how to use it. She tells me "I can read between the lines. That's not what you meant and we both know it. You clearly were being sarcastic. First of all, it is none of your business what or for what reason I put on anyone's page. You are not a monitor and I would suggest you mind your own book. Second there will be no further messages received from you. You are not my friend and you have no business sending me any messages." If that isn't bad enough...then I get the one from Pam, Rochester, NY (19 mutual friends). She tells me people say I have been adding them as friends...again we like some of the same people and I don't see the crime in that. How I could "steal" them when she has MORE than I do is a mystery to me. Have reported both of them already to Facebook...and I believe that one of them may have done the same. Have stopped sending friends requests to ANYONE as a result because the two situations above have just made me paranoid. I am afraid to reach out to ANYONE online now...for fear that they will just turn around and blast me. I am starting to feel a little like I am on MySpace now...and I thought Facebook would be a little different. Running out of options and I don't know what to do anymore. Candace

Hi Canwill, We're not part of Facebook, and have no control over their administrative decisions. You'll need to contact them using this form.

Good luck,
Maureen
