I don't own a myspace account. I was just playing around on myspace and typed in my name to find a myspace account created by someone else under my name. There is a picture of me and information claiming to be written by me. I immediately contacted myspace and they had me send a salute, a video that is still processing, and another salute, Even after they said they removed it. It's still up and they are saying they are investigating. I am the real Christie and I want the fake myspace removed. Can you help me out? Okay I find this a bit funny and I want to tell you what the results were. Yes the fake myspace was removed......But so was the one I was borrowing from my relative. I feel really bad. I hope she can forgive me. April 4th--(It took them a week to bring her profile back. It was hidden in their system). I wrote to them on 3/19, 3/21, 3/22, 3/24 and 3/25/2008
They told me once before that they removed it, but I couldn't find that e-mail. They haven't removed it yet, but I'm hoping I can trust them this time.
After they told me on 3/26 that they deleted it I took my salute down. So knowing that they already saw it, I hope it doesn't change their mind.
Do you think it will be taken down in 3 days?

Christie, could you give us a little more information? How long has it been since MySpace emailed you that they were investigating?
They asked you to send the salute because they have no way of knowing who's who or whether what someone who claims to be a victim of a fake profile says is true - they get lots of prank abuse reports as well as fake profiles, and sorting through it all is a fairly big job. Just let us know how long it has been since you emailed them your salute. Thanks for posting,
