Hi, I use xat and you can remove yourself and appear as a brand new user as long as you did not become a registered user. You can use xat and have a xat page and not be a registered user. You will know if you are a registered xat user if a black star appears next to your name in the list of user box on the right.

If you did not register with xat then all you have to do is delete your browser cookies. Then next time you go to a xat page you will show up as a new user and you can create a new identity for yourself.

If you are a registered user then the only thing you can do is to set yourself to not automatically sign in. That way when you go to a page no one will see in you the room. You will see your icon but the users in the room will not. And if someone has you saved as a friend they will see you as offline.

If someone is sending you inappropriate messages you can click on their name and hit the ignore button. You will never see another message from them. Make sure you report inapporpriate behavior to the xat help chat room. They will permanently ban them from site.

Last but not least never send personal information over the regular xat chat. If you want to share that type of information you should do so in a private chat with people you know. If someone has approached in person as that girl from xat you should really let your parents know. That is seriously not a good thing and I fear for your safety!

This is true according to karma. I don't mean that I really believe the principle. But in our life, we can't guarantee if we will always at the top when we are there. We could lose anything in anytime. We just don't know.

That's why, in Malay culture and Islamic teaching, we are forbidden to "lupa diri" and not too proud of ourselves. Instead, we are encourage to be humble and moderate in our life, even when we achieve success.

One more thing, I don't think she have to be blamed fully for this incident. Her father in fact have a greater role on making her daughter's life upside down. As her father, he should not force her too much until it causes psychological problem. He also need to be more concern on his daughter's necessities, and not too driven by his desire.

Jaelyne, I'm not familiar with Xat and couldn't find a FAQ or contact page on the site. Hopefully another Xat user will jump in here with some info.
