Hello I just recently had my own myspace profile stolen quite blatently here is mine: http://www.myspace.com/sakura_photogrrl and the imposter one: http://www.myspace.com/262643996 I have emailed myspace imposterreport 3 times, the last time I received a what looks like a automated response saying something about a salute. Now, I need to know do I have to send this salute (when to me the page is obviously lifted) or do they contact the imposter and ask for this salute? Once this is done I feel I will have to go private on myspace which I think defeats the whole point of it... many thanks all Sakura x

Welcome celine, You can send an email to imposterreport@myspace.com. Include a salute, which is a picture of yourself holding a handwritten sign with your Friend ID. (Read more about salutes here.)
If the profile hasn't been deleted within about a week, contact us again and we'll email our contact at MySpace. (We need you to go through the right channel yourself first.)

maureen what is the fastest and most effective way to get imposter profiles deleted and what picture should i put on my real myspace? (such as a clear one of me so they know that my salute is me)?

The salute – a photo of you holding a handwritten sign with “MySpace.com” and your Friend ID – would come from you. MySpace doesn’t need salutes in obvious cases (which I think yours qualifies as!), but it’s better to send one to expedite things. Include a note that contains the URL of the imposter profile when you send the salute.
I'll let you know if I hear back from MySpace - but in the meantime, it wouldn't hurt to submit another report to imposterreport@myspace.com that contains a salute.
