I work in a retail stores and I came across what seemed to be a profile that one of my co-workers/friends had. It didn't have much, it looked like someone started the profile and didn't finish. It had her name, age and where she lived. I saw her a few days later and told her about the profile and she said that she did not make it. She is pretty upset that someone set up a fake account to try to pretend to be her. She asked me to help in removing it. I tried contacting Customer Service about 5 times and have not recieved a reponse and the profile is still up. I contacted the owner of Myspace, Tom, and he isn't doing anything about the profile that isn't hers. This is a safety issue and we would like this matter resolved as soon as possible. Serpent, If the actions violate Hi5's TOS, report the issue by clicking the "Report Abuse" link that appears on every profile and photo. Choose "Other" and give a brief description of what's going on. Include the URL (the http address) of the harassing content (for example, a message, profile comment, photo comment, scrapbook, journal, or group posting).
Be sure to click the "Report Abuse" button to send the form to Hi5. You should hear back from Hi5 within a few days.

Your friend can click the Report Abuse button at the bottom of the fake profile (the form doesn't ask for a salute, which does require a photo).

She has a real profile, it's the second URL I posted.
Ok so she needs to do the salute picture. But last I heard she didn't have a camera with her so would she be able to do it without the salute picture?
And is there anything I would be able to do to help?

Welcome Lawliet, The salute would have to come from your friend. And since she doesn't have a "real" profile (and Friend ID) to include with the salute, she can click "Report Abuse" at the bottom of the imposter profile and notify MySpace that way.

I'm glad I found this site, I've recently found a profile impersonating my friend and putting up fake(and derogatory) information about her.
The problem is that it is set on private so I can't get into it anymore(I'm not in the friend list anymore). Also my friend doesn't go online very much so she hasn't seen it yet.
I haven't tried reporting it yet because I'm not sure how the salute picture works. Should it be a picture of me with a paper or my friend?

Welcome qwe, Send the salute (an image of you holding a handwritten sign with the word "MySpace.com" and your Friend ID) as an email attachment to imposterreport@myspace.com. Explain what happened and that you'd like the profile removed. You should hear back within about two weeks. If not, please let us know.

I have an imposter profile that used to be mine, up until someone hacked it. My email adress before was actualy my phone number @vtext.com (something that I set up so that myspace allerts would be fowarded to my phone. Well, someone hacked my myspace and changed the password so that I could not log back in. I tried to have the new password emailed to me but unfortunatly, because of the fact that the email adress my myspace was registered under was a phone number, I could never recieve that email. And nothing got sent to my phone.
I do not even have that phone number anymore, and basicaly, I will never be able to get the password to log back in to that account ever again. And the hacker still has access to my account. All they did was just put up alot of bad music and changed my information. I do not at all like what the profile says now, and alot of people think that it is actualy me, but its not. It's a hacker. I would just like to have this thing taken down... I do not know what adress to send my salute to, I tried contacting myspace but I cant figure out how to attach an image to show my salute.. I have been begging them to take it down since it happened over a year ago..
what can I do?
