I am not very computer literate when it comes to setting the levels of what my children can search for. Could someone please advise me on how I can set up so that my son will unable to look at sites which are inappropriate. Thanks,

Welcome and thanks for the advice IPCK, but I had to delete the link to your company's website since it constitutes advertising, which is against this forum's Rules.
Thanks for understanding,
Maureen

If you are using mozilla browser , then go to tools and select options and set the preference of your choice. But you need to lock this option so that someone using the PC can't change the choice you have made. You can still use specialized softwares to block any explicit content. Remote-Backups with Webaccess from anywhere

Welcome Diann, You don’t mention how old your son is, but it sounds like you’re after filtering or monitoring software. Filtering software blocks explicit words and images, and monitoring software does just that through a variety of methods, like recording keystrokes or the Web sites your son visits. Check out GetNetWise.org’s searchable database of parental-control tools at http://kids.getnetwise.org/tools/tool_result.php3?display_start=1&functionality_id_array%5B%5D=931542385.18341. We recommend talking to your son about the tool you decide to use because open communication can be an effective deterrent for online kids - and a tool for good parent-child communication. I hope this helps! Maureen ~ Maureen Kochan ConnectSafely forum manager
