I have experienced some abuse from Spogg.com users. Is anyone familar with this website? I like the idea of it and the way you can play games, but whenever I have reported abuses, the other people just get warned. I don't feel like I am being taken seriously either. In the Forum there, people have posted horrible, sexually suggestive, and demeaning pictures to my threads, even the Sheriffs of the site. I like a lot of people there and still want to use the website, but I feel that the people that are running the site are biased and rude themselves. I have belonged there for about two years. Just today, I am the one who has gotten blocked, but no one has sent me an e-mail or message explaining why. I know that I have not sworn or sent any demeaning pictures and such. Sara - I think we somehow have misunderstood eachother. I was of course referring to www.spogg.com. Yes -I know it is a multiplayer gamesite. BUT : Spogg also have several subforas - Just follow some of the links. That was why I did not like the site - kids who use this site for playing eventually will follow the links to othe - not too "plesant" sites. And - I do have two accounts - one as an adult - one using my Alias - as a teenager. Spogg as a gamesite is just like any other site . But there are shadows ................................................ Olav Fora = plur. for Forum

Olav, I did not quite understand your response to my post, but I appreciate you replying to me. I am talking about Spogg, not Spoog. Spogg is a multiplayer gaming site. Tell me what you think of it, please, once you get an account.

Thanks for the insights from across the Atlantic, Olav - so needed! I'm not sure if enough Americans realize how international the social Web is. So glad you're here whenever you can drop in.

Spoog.com is a subdivision of a website selling product that is supposed the help you loose weight, gain potency, whatever. I do not know much about Spogg.com - but I found some interresting users ! Several users that some time ago "killed" the michaelmoore.com forum - (Today this forum is called downsizethis.com) - did show up on Spogg. Using the same abusive language - using nazi -remarks etc. Some folks never seem to go away ! One of the foras - for stricktly teens under 18 - proudly boasts of the policy to throw out all adult users. This perks up my ears !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll get an account as a teenager and chek it out ! peace Olav (NOT Sweden - and glad of it!)

Wish we could help you with that, SunshineSara, but you're dealing with an o'seas site with questionable operators, it appears. If you have any progress, tell us what happened, ok? Our sympathies,
Anne

Thank you. I thought it was based in my country, the United States, to be exact. I just visited there to check up on messages. I am very upset.. One of the 'Sheriffs' of the site has personally attacked me and used my user name to direct people to my page. I have gotten called some horrible names, too. I tried seeing where I could contact the administration through a separate e-mail, but I can't do that since I was blocked for something.. I have no idea what. That means that I am not able to send messages. I am really, really upset since no resources are available for me to go to. -- Edited by SunshineSara at 08/03/2007 7:09 AM

Had not heard of that site, SunshineSara. I just went to it. Did you notice it's based in Sweden? Who knows why people are abusive - I was sorry to hear that the site admin itself isn't helping you out, but some of these popular gaming and social sites are run by a handful of people who find it hard to keep up with their traffic, much less abuse reports. Some are run by very smart software designers and networking people who don't have a clue about things like customer service which is usually pretty costly and a luxury only large companies can afford. Keep us posted. All best,
Anne
